Goddess Arts

The Goddess Arts is a Temple/School for exploring the Feminine Face of the Divine. It is dedicated to Healing and Movement Arts for Women. We explore the Goddess as a facet of the multi-faceted Oneness and use this archetype to help empower ourselves as women. Dance, movement and meditation techniques are among the choices and part of the path to self-discovery, self-help, healing and deeper spiritual growth.

Belly Dance is a part of Women's Culture with deeply spiritual roots in Ancient Mother Goddess rituals. The past practices had both life affirming and also destructive rituals. In the Goddess Arts, we reclaim the life affirming practices and recreate a dance for today's woman. This includes: modern rights of passage, strengthening body for pleasure, for health, for childbirth, for post labour recovery and a template for personal spiritual growth. Also we aim to reclaim dance and music from packaged consumeristic labels back into the hands of people and everyday life.
